A Man’s Response to God’s Power
There comes a time in every man’s life when he stands at the threshold of freedom. God’s power is evident, His movement undeniable. And in that moment, a man has three choices: rise, run, or reject.
I have lived all three.
There have been seasons where I’ve stepped boldly into God’s calling—where I’ve embraced the hard work, fought through the struggle, and pushed forward into freedom. But there have also been times when I’ve run. When fear whispered louder than faith, when comfort seemed more appealing than change, when the weight of my past kept me from stepping fully into the future God had for me.
And then there were the moments of rejection. The ones where I hesitated, overanalyzed, or flat-out resisted what God was doing. Like the people who saw Jesus’ power but focused on the loss of the pigs instead of the liberation of a man, I’ve sometimes allowed circumstances to blind me to the greater miracle at hand.
But here’s the truth: Freedom stands at the door. The question is, will I take hold of it?
God does not force transformation. He presents an opportunity, and it’s up to us to respond. Some will rise, embracing the challenge with grit and faith. Some will run, afraid of what it will cost. And some will reject, unwilling to trade the familiar for the unknown. Today, I choose to rise. There’s an area of my life that needs action, and I refuse to delay any longer. The decision is mine to make. The outcome? That belongs to God. Men, the time for hesitation is over. The question is not whether God is moving—the question is, how will you respond?
