When I experience true transformation, my instinct is to stay in the moment—to remain on the mountaintop. I get it. When I’ve had breakthroughs in my marriage, my business, or my faith, I want to hold onto that moment forever. But that’s not the call.
In Mark 5, a man radically set free from darkness begged to stay with Jesus. But Jesus had a different plan—He sent him back to his people. His mission wasn’t to linger in comfort but to proclaim what had been done for him.
This is the challenge for every man who follows Christ. The freedom we receive isn’t just for us. We are set free to set others free. Every breakthrough—whether in our marriages, our health, our faith, or our work—is meant to be shared. We don’t just carry truth; we are called to proclaim it.
And here’s the power of obedience: that man’s testimony changed everything. Later in Mark, when Jesus returns to the Decapolis, the people no longer reject Him—they welcome Him. One man’s story prepared the way for a move of God.
My transformation isn’t just for me. It’s for my wife, my children, my brothers, my business, and my mission. The world around me is changed when I boldly declare what Jesus has done.
So the question is—will I stay in the moment, or will I go and share the truth?
